ABOUT THE ARTIST

I grew up in the small town of Plainfield, Vermont. I currently live in the same beautiful state where I derive much of my inspiration from. Who I was as a child has shaped who I am as an artist today. Although I studied art at Johnson State College, I consider myself having a unique talent that took me years to shape. My broad spectrum of artwork includes paintings of still life, scenic views, portraits, and much more. I have been commissioned for many forms of art such as painting on glassware, objects from nature, magnets and canvases. With each painting that I create, my goal is to re-capture the moment and to preserve the beauty. I often paint outside in nature and also in my studio.

Artist Statement

Art continues to be an essential part of my life where i challenge myself to increase the scale of my work and to exert myself more realistically through what I paint. College introduced me to a variety of mediums which interested me and improved my skills. I embrase it as a way to recapture the beauty in this world. I expecially enjoy how a white canvas can be transformed into a life like painting that looks beyond the two dimensional world. I have been intrigued to explore the beauty of landscapes and nature through artistic expression.  To me, creating art is a priority as well as a passion.
